Irene Sheri is a wonderful artist…and is taking the time to teach her daughter to paint. Irene was born in the Ukraine in 1968, and her parents could not keep her from painting. By age nine, she had created thousands of paintings, and the rest of her formal schooling was centered around the arts. Over her lifetime, she has won many awards for excellence in the arts – and it’s easy to see why. She continues to pass on her love of the arts to her family and to her students, as she has been teaching since the early 1990’s. Her daughter is fast becoming a great artist, as well.
Irene’s work has been featured in St. Peterburg’s Academy of Art as well as other notable galleries around the world, and her graduation artwork, “Early Snow”, was accepted into the permanent collection of the Museum of Academy of Art in 2000. Less than a year later, the same work of art also received the highest honor an artist can receive in Russia, the “Russian State Award for Outstanding achievement in Art or Entertainment”. Her artwork is sold and presented by galleries and dealers around the world, but she most enjoys the creative process and teaching the artists of tomorrow. Color Me Impressed by an artist who has continued to teach while she continues to learn.
