A tribute to a brilliant photographer. Mr. Koentjoro lives in Indonesia and has become well-known for his emotive black-and-white photography. He graduated from Brooks Institute of Photography in 1991 majoring in Film/video production and minor in Black and White photography. “My parents gave me a Kodak pocket camera for a birthday present. The loves of capturing moments in the family as well as the ability to freeze moments were the starting point of my love affair with photography.”
Koentjoro sites Ansel Adams and Michael Kenna as major influences, but his collection includes a wide range of subjects and as he continues to evolve as an artist.
We look forward to following his journey.
